We are so proud of the Bury College T Level students that have become the first cohort to complete the qualification. They have already begun to look towards the future.
On the Childcare and Education T Level, 100% of our students achieved a Distinction. One of those was Megan Connolly. The former Tottington High School pupil will now be completing an apprenticeship with Greater Manchester Police. Megan, who has aspirations of becoming a Child Protection Officer, said: “My time at Bury College has been amazing, the tutors were great, and I’m really excited about my future.”
Chloe Murphy also thrived on her T Level in Childcare, and she is now moving on to Edge Hill University to study Primary Education with QTS. She loved her time with us and spoke about how her placement improved her knowledge of the subject area. The former Phillips High School pupil said: “The placement I undertook at a local Primary School gave me a unique experience that allowed me to further develop my skills.”
Grace Van Der Kamp studied a T Level in Health. The former St Monica’s R.C High School pupil has loved her time at Bury College and has dreams of becoming a Paramedic. She said: “The course and the College as a whole have helped me to become a lot more confident and made me feel a lot more prepared for the future.” Grace also spoke about how her placement at Fairfield Hospital helped develop her skills, she added: “My placement was an amazing experience and I learned so much.”

Bury College recently hosted a Higher Education Fair for its current learners, welcoming representatives from over 20 different universities.
T Level student Cameron Taylor turned his placement at Bury BID into a paid summer role, gaining hands-on experience in events and marketing.
Two dedicated apprentices working in a local nursery are proving that it’s never too late to upskill, thanks to the Early Years Level 5 Apprenticeship offered at Bury College.
Our art students have brought a splash of colour and creativity to Bury Hospice with a striking new mural celebrating the spirit of the local community. Painted by students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, the mural features vibrant hydrangeas and iconic Manchester Bees, symbolising unity, resilience, and the six towns of Bury.
