National Apprenticeship Week was an exciting and inspiring time at Bury College, filled with activities that helped mark the occasion and celebrate the exceptional talent, dedication and achievements of Apprentices.
Bury College are proud to be able to support a number of students through their T Level journey. T Levels are a qualification designed to equip young people with the practical skills and academic knowledge required for a successful career or further study. The T Level course structure aligns with our ‘Positive Futures’ programme which focuses on building skills for jobs and skills for life.
Our 24/25 T Level cohort
The number of students currently enrolled on T Levels for the 24/25 academic year sits at 477, across a variety of course areas. This reflects the increasing popularity of T Levels among students aged 16-18 who are eager to combine classroom learning with invaluable real-world experience.
Additionally, 124 organisations have partnered with the college to provide industry placements, helping to bridge the gap between education and employment. This includes organisations within business and administration, healthcare, education, and many more. We are proud to be partnering with a diverse range of organisations, helping to support the skills development of our learners, and aiding them in the growth of their industry knowledge and understanding.
Outstanding outcomes from our 23/24 alumni
The success of T Levels at Bury College is clear. From the 2023/24 cohort, 49% of students progressed into higher education, while 37% moved directly into employment.
Our T Level courses provide the perfect balance between academic study and industry experience, demonstrated by the fantastic outcomes boasted by our 23/24 alumni. T Levels are full Level 3 qualifications, equivalent to three A Levels, and carry the same UCAS points. What sets them apart is their unique structure:
- Contains 80% classroom learning, 20% industry placement: Students spend their time studying theory and developing skills in a classroom setting, complemented by a 45-day industry placement.
