If you are joining us as a childcare student on Level 1, Level 2 or T-Level you will need to complete a DBS check prior to starting your course. Please see below guidance regarding this.
You will have received a DBS link to the personal email address you provided to college on your application form, this e-mail provides you with a username and password to log on. Please complete this prior to enrolment where possible. It will ask you for your personal details, name, address history, DOB etc.
The college cover the cost of your DBS but remember your DBS is an important document, just like a passport, if you lose it you will have to pay the cost of a replacement DBS which is £57.90.
The uniform for Childcare is optional. However, some placements do request that you wear the uniform. The uniform items you can purchase are:

Please select your uniform size using questionnaire on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ page and retain your confirmation email as proof of purchase. Once your order is ready, Kelsey (Childcare Curriculum Administrator) will leave the uniform with your tutor, who will then distribute it to you.
In the additional information required page can you add the following information – Name of Student, Reference Number, Tunic Size (Drop Down option button to stay the same) Tutor Name, Group Name and Email Address.
The college can provide financial assistance for purchasing uniform and/or equipment resources through the Financial Support Schemes (i.e. bursary) – Details of which will be provided and discussed at enrolment. Any further information required regarding financial support available, please enquire with Student Services by visiting the website - Student support - Bury College. The student services team will also be available during enrolment.
