Since leaving us, William Hardman has travelled the world working as a self-employed video technician and camera operator in the music and live events industry.
The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design course is designed to confidently prepare you for a full creative degree as your future direction. You will be encouraged to experiment and take risks in order to develop your creative skills and critical independence in Art and Design supporting direct progression on to higher education.
The course provides you with an exciting opportunity to devlop innovative, ambitious and experimental outcomes through a series of creative workshops and independent exploration. Learnt skills will be applied to investigate a fusion of personal ideas and the ethical considerations that shape current creative practices.
As the course and your personal development evolve you will have the opportunity to increasingly focus on one or a combination of these specialist fields/creative industries:

Creative Futures is a module which runs alongside the initial units, where you explore and research progression choices such as higher education or employment.

The UAL Foundation Diploma in Art and Design is free for eligible
learners. Those under 19 are able to access tuition under the current funding
guidelines.
For those over the age of 19 on the day the course starts, you are eligible to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan, which means you won’t pay any up-front costs for tuition. Please contact admissions on 0161 280 8200 for further information.
