
Bury College recently hosted a Higher Education Fair for its current learners, welcoming representatives from over 20 different universities.
At Sunning Hill Primary School we offer provision for children from the ages of 2 to 11. Our desire to ensure that every child achieves their full potential, is at the forefront of every interaction that we have with our children. Our nursery staff have considerable early years’ experience, to support you on your learning journey.
Immediate start for someone to join our friendly team working in our early year’s unit. You will be supported throughout your course and be surrounded by an experienced team who will help and guide you to gain your qualification. You will be involved in delivering high quality care to our children and maintaining our very high standards.
You will receive the following training:
Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Standard
This is a work-based qualification with monthly timetabled classes.
Possibility of a fixed term contract on completion, dependant on nursery numbers.
A range of additional training courses including first aid, prevent, FGM, GDPR & Cyber.
The starting salary is £19,630 a year for 36 hours Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.00pm Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm.
The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 4 Months.

Two dedicated apprentices working in a local nursery are proving that it’s never too late to upskill, thanks to the Early Years Level 5 Apprenticeship offered at Bury College.
Our art students have brought a splash of colour and creativity to Bury Hospice with a striking new mural celebrating the spirit of the local community. Painted by students from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, the mural features vibrant hydrangeas and iconic Manchester Bees, symbolising unity, resilience, and the six towns of Bury. We recently lifted the lid on working in social care with an event for our Health and Social Care students. Students heard from employers in the industry about the different opportunities available and the skills that people in the industry are looking for.
