Outstanding Results 2010
Bury College’s proven track record of achievement continues with an exceptional pass rate of over 99% for Advanced Level courses.
This is another year that Bury College’s Advanced Level results reinforce the inspection made by Ofsted in January 2009, which established that Bury College remains outstanding in all areas, and confirms the College’s position as one of the most successful colleges in the country.
The College has seen outstanding achievement in A Levels, Vocational A Levels and National Diploma courses with 100% pass rates in 45 courses and the number of higher grades again significantly increasing. A Level Subjects with 100% success rates include: Physics, Spanish, German, Geography, History, English Language & Literature, Film Studies, Theatre Studies, Textiles, Graphics, Media.
Once again, significant numbers of our students have successfully secured university places. The wide range of courses Bury College students have secured places on includes: Medicine, Mathematics, French & Russian, Business Studies, Psychology, Law, Astrophysics & Geology, Biochemistry & Microbiology, Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management, Television & Radio and Education Studies & Media Writing.
