Outstanding Results 2012

Bury College’s excellent track record of achievement continues. An initial study of the results indicates an exceptional pass rate of 99% for Advanced Level courses.

This is another year that Bury College’s Advanced Level results reinforce our Ofsted inspection, which established that Bury College remains outstanding in all areas. Bury College is one of the best further education colleges in the country.

The College has seen outstanding achievement in A Levels, Vocational A Levels, National Diplomas and A/S courses, with 100% pass rates in 65 Subjects and the number of higher grades again significantly increasing.

A Level subjects with 100% success rates include: Chemistry, Further Mathematics; French; German; History; English Language & Literature; Fine Art; Graphics; Photography; Textiles; ICT; Media; Film Studies; Drama & Theatre Studies; Health & Social Care; Physical Education.

Advanced Level Vocational subjects with 100% success rates include: Art & Design; Music; Performing Arts; Creative Media; Interactive Media; Information Technology; Engineering; Business; Sport; Public Services; Travel & Tourism; Hospitality; Health & Social Care; Childcare; Applied Science.

Once again, significant numbers of our students have successfully secured university places, including at some of the top universities in the country.
