A Bury school has provided budding student filmmakers with an exciting work experience opportunity.
Hazel Wood High School offered Bury College Level 3 Creative Media students an opportunity to produce a one-minute video which will be used as a training tool for staff and students. Students used their technical skills and knowledge to direct, film and edit the short film.
Kyle Fletcher and Tom Stephenson, who are both former Bury Church of England High School pupils, were delighted to be given the work placement brief and believe the opportunity helped them to develop their confidence and enhance their time management skills. The students were credited for how fantastically they performed on their Well Being Ambassador Training.
Tom said, “The work experience was great and we really enjoyed the filming project. I think work experience is invaluable because I now have a real project that I can add to my portfolio.”
