Higher Education
Many of our students want to progress onto a degree programme after finishing at College. Group tutors will help you determine the best courses, and Learner Services can help you through the complexity of financing higher education, accomodation etc.
Employment/Apprenticeship
Alternatively, some students want to go straight to work after finishing college. Whatever your progression route, staff can help with mock interviews, CV production, completing application forms and general interview skills. Bury College offers a huge range of Apprenticeships which you may be interested in exploring.
We give confidential, impartial advice and guidance on courses, careers and progression opportunities to help you make decisions about your future learning, career pathway and work. We support current learners with applications, personal statements and mock interviews for university, HE funding and other financial support.
We provide up to date information for learners on current job vacancies in the local area and can assist with CVs, job searches and mock job interviews. To support this service we have access to a range of computer programmes and resources which can be found in the Learning Resource Centres and on Moodle.
