Overview of the Course

About the Programme

This short course provides learners with the knowledge and competence required to work as a special educational needs co-ordinator in an early years setting. You can either achieve a Bury College certificate if you just want to complete the knowledge based aspects of the course or you can achieve exam board accreditation if you want to be assessed carrying out the SENCO role in your setting. The awarding body is CACHE.

Who is it aimed at?

This course is aimed at people who work in an early years setting and wish to learn more about supporting children who have special educational needs and/or for people training to be a SENCO.

Entry requirements

In order to achieve exam board accreditation you need to be working or training to work in a childcare setting supporting children with special educational needs.
