About the Programme
This CACHE awarded course will develop your understanding of the main legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for
safeguarding children and young people. It will help you to understand the importance of working in partnership with other organisations to safeguard children and young people; as well as the importance of ensuring children and young people’s safety and protection in the work setting. It will also help you to understand how to respond to evidence or
concerns that a child or young person has been abused or harmed; and how to respond to these. It also includes how to work with children and young people to support their safety and wellbeing; and the importance of e-safety for children and young people.
Who is it suitable for?
Anyone currently working with children and young people in any capacity as well as those interested in work with children or young people. This is a level 3 course and we recommend that you complete the level 2 course first if you do not have a level 2 qualification, although this is not mandatory.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as written information, questions or re?ection.
