|Course Title||Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)|
This qualification is designed to help you to enter the workforce as an Early Years Educator, enabling you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
The course is structured around three key themes: Theme 1: Health and well-being, Theme 2: Legislation, frameworks and professional practice, Theme 3: Play, development and learning for school readiness.
This course is designed for anyone interested in working as an Early Years Educator.
Upon achievement of this qualification you will gain a licence to practise and so can progress into various job roles in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors such as assistant in Children's Centres, practitioner in nursery schools, practitioner in reception classes in primary schools or pre-school worker. You can progress onto a Foundation Degree.
A Level 2 qualification in Childcare is preferred. You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your interview. A clear DBS is also required.
You will attend class once a week on a Tuesday from 6.30-8.30pm. You will also need to attend a placement in a childcare setting for a minimum of 12 hours a week.
