Overview of the Course

This qualification aims to improve your knowledge and understanding prior to beginning to work in End of Life Care.

What topics will I study?

The topics covered include:

  • Know different perspectives on death and dying 
  • Understand the aims, principles and policies of end of life care 
  • Understand factors regarding communication in end of life care 
  • Know how to access the range of support services available to individuals and others

Who is this course aimed at?

This course is aimed at anyone who is considering a career in health and social care or who has an interest in finding out more about end of life care.

Progression

This qualification can lead to further study in health and social care or provide knowledge for those wishing to enter the health and social care sector.

What are the entry requirements?

You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your enrolment.

Two weeks.

Two weeks from commencement.

Attendance

You will attend class on Thursdays and Fridays 9.30 – 2.00 (half hour for lunch).

This course is free (eligibility criteria applies). Cost if not eligible is £95.
