What does the qualification cover?
This quali?cation is based on the National Occupational Standards for Playwork and will develop the knowledge needed when working in playwork settings. It covers the theories and principles of play and playwork, risk management and how to support the needs and rights of children to create diverse play environments.
Who is it suitable for?
Early Years practitioners who would like to broaden their knowledge and work in playwork settings.
What are the entry requirements?
You should be at least 18 years old and hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification. CACHE does not set any other entry requirements but colleges or training providers may have their own guidelines.
How many credits are required to complete it?
The Award requires 12 credits.
?How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as written information, oral questions, re?ection on own practice or direct observation.
Do you need to be working to take the qualification?
No, as this is a knowledge only quali?cation.
How long does it take to complete?
You can usually complete it in 12 months or less.
