Overview of the Course

About the programme

This one day programme will outline the basic principles of Human Performance. The course is designed in partnership with the National Skills Academy (NSA Nuclear) and focuses on individuals, teams and how we can reduce the frequency of errors whilst building better defence mechanisms.

Who is it aimed at?

Any employee within the company who applies hands-on skills directly in the work environment or who acts as a knowledge worker in support of the work environment.

Course content

On completion of this course delegates will have the skills to:- 

  • Outline the basic principles of Human Performance 
  • Describe the difference between active and latent errors, lapses and slips 
  • Identify those work factors that can directly affect us all 
  • Break down the key stages of an event to learn from experience
  • Highlight the ways in which we can reduce errors and decrease frequency of events
  • Pick out the most appropriate Human Performance tool for a given situation and apply that tool in action
