|Course Title||Health & Safety and Environmental training - Managing Health, Safety and Environment within Your Team|
This module is suitable for first-line managers who not only have to oversee
the performance of their team but also liaise with others in management to help
achieve continuous improvement and meet organisational targets.
Current legal and industry requirements demand compliance, accountability and
efficiency from businesses. Managers play a critical role in overseeing the
implementation of health, safety and efficiency systems and in identifying significant
hazards that need to be addressed.
This module includes:
• Promoting safe practice within your team
• Managing resources for improved business performance
• Monitoring health, safety and environmental procedures
• Reviewing training needs
The module introduces key tools and practices (e.g. Assessing risk, reducing risk,
proactive monitoring, energy and water efficiency, and waste minimisation) that can
be used to support positive health and safety culture and environmental best practice
within an organisation. Practical exercises will help participants apply these tools to
assess their work environment and prepare an action plan that identifies ways they
can improve health and safety compliance and resource efficiencies in their areas of
