Overview of the Course

WHO:

This module is suitable for experienced, senior-level managers who work

closely with other senior managers/directors in strategic planning and in developing

and reviewing new policies and practices within the organisation.

WHAT:

To stay on top of emerging legal requirements, risk factors and environmental issues

and stand out in terms of best practice, an organisation requires proactive leadership

and continuous improvement in terms of their health, safety and environmental

systems.

This module includes:

• Health safety and environmental policy development

• Corporate liabilities and responsibilities

• Identifying and overcoming barriers to best practice

• Leading by example – promoting ethics and values

The module examines key elements of a model health, safety and environmental

management system suitable for organisations within the modern business climate.

This review includes policies and legal requirements for safeguarding the health and

safety or employees and others, safeguarding the environment, while reducing

liability and risk for the organisation.

Practical exercises allows participants to use the current environment to critique their

organisation’s structure, policies and management practices, and identify strategic

actions to enable better compliance with legal and industry requirements to benefit

employees, the wider community and the business itself.
