If you have an aspiration to go to university or would like to improve your employment options but do not possess a GCSE in Mathematics, this course offers a fantastic progression opportunity. This course is designed to develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts. It also enables you to acquire, select and apply mathematical techniques to solve problems.
The topics covered include: Number, Algebra, Ratio, proportion and rates of change, Geometry and measures, Probability, Statistics.
This course is designed for adults (19+).
Attaining a GCSE in Mathematics at Bury College can lead to a wide variety of further study options including an Access to Higher Education Diploma.
Successful completion of an initial assessment plus interview.
You will attend a weekly three hour class (day-time and evening classes available). Excellent attendance is critical.
