The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the awarding body when it comes to qualifications in the field of HRM (Human Resource Management). The Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management is a Level 5 qualification and is the Intermediate course in the CIPD’s library of HR qualifications.
The topics covered include • Developing Professional Practice • Business Issues and the Context of Human Resources • Using Information in Human Resources • Resourcing and Talent Planning • Managing and Coordinating the Human Resource Function • Employment Law
Set at undergraduate level, the Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management is ideal if you want to study a recognised professional qualification, or want to progress your career by improving your knowledge and skills. This qualification develops your ability to evaluate the effectiveness of HR models and practice.
On completion of the course you will achieve a CIPD Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management and you could gain access to a CIPD Level 7 Advanced qualifications that are set at postgraduate level.
Owing to the academic nature of the course, a Level 3 qualification i.e. Certificate in Human Resource Practice, Certificate in Learning and Development Practice, HNC/HND or equivalent, would be of real value when embarking on this qualification. A basic standard of literacy and numeracy would also be beneficial. You may be required to complete an informal interview/discussion. If you are completely new to the field of HR (Human Resources) you are advised to complete the Certificate in Human Resource Practice before enrolling on the CIPD Intermediate Certificate in Human Resource Management.

The course runs every Wednesday evening for 5 hours, between 4pm and 9pm.
£1,950 + CIPD membership
You must join the CIPD in order to complete the course and gain your qualification. An initial joining fee and annual membership fee applies.
