About the Programme
This CACHE awarded course will develop your understanding of the expected pattern of development for children and young people from birth to 19
years and factors that may affect their development. It will help develop your understanding of how to monitor children and young people’s development and interventions that should take place if this is not following the expected pattern. It will also enable you to develop an understanding of the importance of early
intervention to support the speech, language and communication needs of children and young people, and how to support them during transitions.
Who is it suitable for?
Anyone currently working with children and young people in any capacity as well as those interested in work with children or young people. This is a level 3 course and we recommend that you complete the level 2 course first if you do not have a level 2 qualification, although this is not mandatory.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as written information, questions or re?ection.
