|Course Title||CACHE Level 1 Award in an Introduction to Early Years Settings|
This qualification develops a basic knowledge of childcare in early years’ settings. It covers working with children up to the age of 5 years old. The units include subjects such as the value of play, roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers and the importance of developing links in the local community.
The topics covered include
· Basic knowledge of childcare in early years settings (for children up to 5)
· Value of play
· Roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers
· Importance of developing links in the local community
· Health and Safety
Anyone who is considering a career in early years settings. This could include parents and volunteers who would like to play a part in early years settings such as pre-schools.
It is an excellent starting point and will prepare students for study at level 2 should you wish to progress.
You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your enrolment.
Mondays and Tuesday 9.30 – 3.00 pm (with ½ hour lunch)
This is a free course however an eligibility criteria applies. Cost if not eligible is £210.
