Overview of the Course

This course is suitable for those who already have some basic IT skills and allows you to work towards a recognised IT qualification which focuses on developing your employability skills.

  •  Word Processing
  •  Using Email
  •  Presentation Software

Who is this course aimed at?

This qualification is suitable for adults returning to study, those seeking to develop greater independence and those who have not yet achieved accredited qualifications. You will need to have some prior IT knowledge or to have successfully completed the Entry Level 3 course prior to enrolment on this Level of study.

Progression

This qualification allows for progression to further studies in IT or to progress into employment.

What are the entry requirements?

You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your enrolment.

Three weeks.

4th, 5th and 11th, 12th and 18th, 19th October
22nd, 23rd and 29th, 30th November and 6th, 7th December
31st January, 1st and 7th, 8th and 14th, 15th February
21st, 22nd and 28th, 29th March and 17th, 18th April
(break for Easter and last week is Wed, Thurs due to Bank Holiday)
23rd, 24th May and 6th, 7th and 13th, 14th June
(1 week before half term and 2 after)
Three weeks from commencement.

Attendance

Thursdays         9.30 – 12.30      and       1.00 – 4.00

Fridays             10.00 – 12.30    and       1.00 – 4.00

Costs

This is a free course however an eligibility criteria applies. Cost if not eligible is £265.
