Overview of the Course

About the Programme

This course will develop your understanding of the importance of positive attachment for the well-being of children and young people; and how resilience can reduce vulnerability of children and young people to separation and loss. It will give you an understanding of attachment theory including containment and holding and how this can support the role of the practitioner in work with children and young people.

Who is it suitable for?

Anyone currently working with children and young people in any capacity as well as those interested in work with children or young people. This is a level 3 course and we recommend that you have done some study at level 2 although this is not mandatory.

How is it assessed?

It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as written information, questions or re?ection.
