Overview of the Course

This qualification aims to offer an introduction to the basic principles of Health & Safety, including hazards and risks within the workplace.

The topics covered include:

  •  The importance of Health and Safety 
  •  Raise awareness of potential risks and hazards in the workplace 
  •  Understand the implications around poor health and safety 
  •  The key rights and responsibilities relating to health and Safety

Who is this course aimed at?

This qualification is useful across a range of different sectors.


This qualification can help you to progress onto Health and Safety studies at Level 2.

What are the entry requirements?

You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your enrolment.


Two weeks.


There are various start dates across the year - October: 11th and 18th. November: 29th. December: 6th. January: 24th and 31st. March: 14th and 21st. May: 16th and 23rd.
Two weeks from commencement.


You will attend class for 6 hours per week, timetable to be confirmed.


This is a free course however an eligibility criteria applies. Cost if not eligible is £145.
