This course provides you with basic accounting principles and techniques, from costing and double entry bookkeeping to computerised accounts. You will be assessed by computer based assessments.
The topics covered include: Elements of costing, Using accounting software, Working effectively in finance, Bookkeeping transactions, Bookkeeping controls.
This course is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy. The purpose of this course is to offer a grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study.
You can progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
No formal qualifications are necessary. An assessment will take place prior to enrolment which will establish your suitability for the course.
You may study this on a day release basis on a Monday 9.30am – 4.30pm or on a two evening basis on Wednesday and Thursday 5.30-8.30pm.
