The qualification will help students develop their employability skills and prepare for the workplace. Students will develop their basic numeracy skills to support every day business activities. Students will also gain a practical understanding of how money moves in business and the processes and procedures that control sales and purchases processes.
The topics covered include: Understand how organisations operate, Develop skills for the workplace, Be able to apply for a job.
The qualification is aimed at students with minimal work experience who wish to develop key practical skills used in business and wish to pursue a career in either the private or public sectors.
On completion of this course, students may wish to complement their studies by progressing to the level 1 Award in Bookkeeping and the level 1 Award in Accounting Software.
There are no formal entry requirements.
The qualification will be studied part-time over a three week period.
