The AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping offers students at Level 1 the opportunity to gain an understanding of the basics of manual bookkeeping. This qualification may help you to move on to further study in either accountancy or bookkeeping or offer a route into employment.
The topics covered include: Understand the role of the bookkeeper, Understand financial transactions, Process customer and supplier transactions, Process receipts and payments.
This qualification will particularly suit those students who are seeking tangible and finance specific skills to enable them to pursue careers in finance or business in either the private or public sectors.
The skills developed in this qualification can lead to employment in junior or supporting administrative roles in companies across a wide range of sectors, for example, as a: • Trainee bookkeeper • Accounts administrator • Billing/payments administrator/coordinator • Accounts junior • Accounts receivable/payable assistant • Procurement and finance assistant • Assistant cashier
You will be asked to complete an initial assessment when you attend your enrolment. Minimum entry requirement is Level 1 or above. Assessment will be by computer assessment.
You will attend class for a total of 13.5 hours.
Tuesdays: 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
Fridays: 9.30 am – 12.30 pm
This is a free course however an eligibility criteria applies. Cost if not eligible to be confirmed is £270.
