The Millennium Centre

The Millennium Centre continues to attract students from Bury and surrounding areas, with unprecedented growth in the number of students studying AS/A Level subjects. The building provides a modern learning environment equipped with excellent studios, laboratories, IT suites, Learning Resource Centres and classrooms. Student facilities are also excellent with indoor and outdoor social areas.


The Beacon Centre

The Beacon Centre, provides first class facilities for Performance Arts, Humanities, Languages, Health and Social Care, Childcare and Uniformed Services. The Beacon theatre, dance and rehearsal studios, together with a recording studio, language laboratory and Beacon Express refectory are situated here.


The Piazza

The Piazza and Coffee shop is now open outside the Beacon Centre and provides a canopy covered outdoor area for students to relax and socialise. The Coffee shop offers fresh coffee, sandwiches, paninis and cakes and this new development adds to the college's existing cafe's and refectories.

 

The Woodbury Centre

The Woodbury Centre, has seen major recent capital investment of over £10 million. Two hairdressing and three beauty salons have been developed creating a combined total of over one hundred industry standard work stations. Recent refurbishment of the centre has provided new facilities for the Guidance Centre and Reception with improved public access.

 

The Venture Centre - NEW for 2012

The Venture Centre is a new £7 million, five storey building which was officially opened on Friday 12th April 2013. This building is the latest addition to the campus, equipped with modern classrooms, new IT suites, mock aeroplane cabin, new courtyard area for socialising and includes a Bistro run by Catering students.

 

The Prospects Centre

The Prospects Centre, is the Electrical Engineering centre of the College. It has specialist laboratories, workshops and IT suites to accommodate a wide range of technology based subjects. These include PC repair and maintenance, electronics, computer aided design (CAD) and papermaking, as well as business technologies such as e-commerce, multi-media, desk-top publishing, web design and IT.

The Pavillion Cafe for students, staff and visitors is located at the college’s Prospects centre.

 

The Innovation Centre

The Innovation Centre supports students studying Engineering and Technology courses. The building incorporates a fully-equipped Engineering Workshop, IT suites, Computer-Aided Design Studio and Classrooms equipped with the latest information and communications technologies.

 

The Aspire Centre

The Aspire Centre provides modern, air-conditioned sports facilities for students, including exercise and fitness studios with sprung floors. In addition, the building houses the College’s assessment centre for examinations and on-line testing, providing specialist facilities for examinations candidates.

 

The Construction Skills Centre - NEW for 2012

The new state-of-the-art Bury College Construction Skills Centre officially opened on Friday 2nd November 2012. This exciting addition to the campus is equipped with the latest industry standard tools, equipment and machines and will provide a range of courses including Bricklaying, Carpentry, Joinery and Plastering.

This purpose built centre will provide students with a real working environment to learn and prepare them for work.

 

The Enterprise Centre

The Enterprise Centre, opened in 2010 and houses dedicated travel and tourism and sports classrooms along with a number of specialist IT rooms.
