BURY COLLEGE OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART A LEVEL CENTRE

The new cohort of A Level students joined Bury College staff and tutors to celebrate the launch of the brand new college centre.

The Bury College A Level centre has been designed to help hundreds of young people achieve their goals and allows them to benefit from state-of-the-art facilities to help them during their time at the college.

The new centre proudly boasts a wide range of IT suites, purpose-built science laboratories and brand new language laboratory. Learners can also enjoy an extensive Learning Resource Centre, a bistro and courtyard to enhance their student experience as well as welcoming social areas. These new facilities are all in addition to the college’s existing well-resourced campus.

Charlie Deane, Bury College Principal and Chief Executive said, “We are delighted to welcome all new and returning A Level students to Bury College and we are excited to be working with them in our state-of-the-art A Level Centre. We strongly believe that this is a great time to join the Bury College A Level provision. With a 99% A Level pass rate and a range of new industry standard facilities, we are looking forward to helping our students achieve their full potential.”

New student Izet Kinqi has enrolled at Bury College to study A Level Accounting, Business and Psychology after completing his GSCEs at Manchester Communication Academy. The 16-year-old said, “I chose Bury College because my sister came here and received great results. I like the new centre and it’s good that there is a place just for A Level students.”

16-year-old Lola Strout, a former Little Lever School pupil, has enrolled onto A Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Lola said, “I came along to the Bury College Introductory Day and really enjoyed it. My first day here has been nice and todays launch event was a good opportunity to meet new people.”

If you are still considering your options and you are interested in joining the Bury College A Level success then is isn’t too late. The college is still accepting late enrolments to start this September. Call 0161 280 8280 for more information.
