Bury College’s exceptional track record of advanced level achievement continues with significant numbers of students achieving 100% pass rates and Triple Distinctions. Students are on target to equal last years’ achievement of 800 progressing to university.

An initial study of the results indicates:
• 65 Advanced Level 3 courses achieving 100% pass rates
• 193 students achieving Triple Star Distinctions
• 362 students achieving Triple Distinctions or above
• An excellent pass rate of 98% for Advanced Level courses
• Students on target to match last years’ achievement of 800 progressing to university

Melissa Belk has secured a place at the University of Leeds to study Geography and Spanish. Melissa is a former pupil of Woodhey High School and has achieved an A* in English Language and Literature and A grades in Geography and Spanish.

Paulina Wotjtowicz has secured a place at the University of Salford to study Animation. Paulina is a former pupil of St Gabriel’s RC High School and has achieved an A* in Graphics, an A grade in Art, Craft and Design, and a grade B in Psychology.

Jack Hamer has secured a place at Manchester Metropolitan University to study Psychology. Jack is a former pupil of The Derby High School and has achieved A*s in Psychology and Sociology and already holds an A Level in Ancient History

Andrew Martlew is seeking to progress to university to study Chemical Engineering. Andrew is a former pupil of The Elton High School and has achieved A grades in Chemistry and Mathematics and a grade B in Accounts.

Matthew Flavell has secured a place at the University of Worcester to study Forensic Psychology. Matthew is a former pupil of Parrenthorn High School and has achieved an A grade in Business and grade Bs in History and Psychology.

Lyndsay Turnham has secured a place at the University of Stirling to study Criminology and Sociology. Lyndsay is a former pupil of Woodhey High School and has achieved A grades in English Language and Literature and History and a grade C in Psychology.

Edward Montell-Hall has secured a place at the University of Lincoln to study Film and Television. Edward is a former pupil of The Elton High School and has achieved A grades in History and Photography and a grade B in Film Studies.

Joshua Acupan has secured a place at the University of Salford to study Biochemistry. Joshua is a former pupil of Prestwich Arts College and has achieved Triple Star Distinctions in an Extended Diploma in Applied Science.

Farina Zain has secured a place at Manchester Metropolitan University to study Law. Farina is a former pupil of The Derby High School and has achieved Triple Star Distinctions in an Extended Diploma in Health and Social Studies.

Callum Hadfield has secured a prestigious Apprenticeship with Electricity North West. Callum is a former pupil of Castlebrook High School and has achieved Triple Star Distinctions in an Extended Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Jessica Shepherd has secured a place at the University of East Anglia to study Film Studies and English Literature. Jessica is a former pupil of Oulder Hill Community School and has achieved grade As in Film Studies, Media and English Literature.

Keanna Kilcourse has secured a place at the University of Huddersfield to study Fashion Design with Textiles. Keanna is a former pupil of Middleton Technology School and has achieved an A* in Media, a grade A in Textiles and a grade B in Art, Craft and Design.

Robson Bagshaw has secured a place at Edge Hill University to study Psychology and Criminology. Robson is a former pupil of Holy Family College and has achieved grade As in Psychology and Sociology and a grade B in Media.

Bethany Williams has secured a place at the University of Nottingham to study Classics and English. Bethany is a former pupil of Oulder Hill Community School and has achieved grade As in Sociology, Ancient History and English Literature.
