About the vacancy
Immediate start to join our small and friendly team. If you would like a career as a dental nurse with a well-established practice located in Heywood, this could be the role for you. You will receive high quality training in all aspects of dental with the support of the manager and team in conjunction with Bury College as the training provider.
This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic and able individual to train as a dental nurse.
You will be completing a wide range of duties involved with assisting the dentist in the care of customers.
These will include:
- Chairside assistance – passing instruments to the dentist
- Updating patient records as instructed by the dentist
- Setting up and preparing the surgery
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
- Keeping patient information confidential
- Following all workplace policies and procedures
You will receive the following training:
- Dental nurse integrated Level 3 Standard
- College attendance is required one day a week (Wednesday)

Outcome
- Working towards a full-time position with the practice should there be availability on completion of the course
The starting salary is £12,740.00 for 35 hours Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
The apprenticeship will run for 21 Months, starting on Monday, June 17 2024. Applications close on Friday, June 07 2024.

Fletcher Fosbrook Dental surgery is a longstanding dental practice in the centre of Heywood, Lancashire. We aim to treat all patients with a high degree of care, respect, and dignity. Our team is always striving to provide high quality treatment within a warm and welcoming environment. We are looking for an individual with good communication skills, who is polite and punctual and who works well in a team to join our friendly dental practice as an apprentice dental nurse. You will be trained in all areas of dental nursing and attend college one day a week as part of the training process.
